In this workshop, we will go over the basics of keeping a sketchbook to record your traveling adventures. Each instructor has their own approach and will share examples from their own sketchbooks and strategies to help you develop your own. 

May 4
Week #1 - Charlene Collins Freeman (click name to see her website)

Charlene will give an overview of the hows and whys of travel journaling as well as sharing her on-location style of capturing moments.

May 11
Week #2 - Tara Larsen Chang

Tara will give an overview of page planning (composition) and strategizing as well as her methods of documenting while traveling – some of which is on location and some is added later. 

May 18
Week #3 - Anya Toomre (click name to see her website)

Anya will share ways to create a sense of place with images and maps as well as her approach to journaling which is to take many photos and draw from them after the trip.

Classes will be recorded and recordings are available for up to 3 weeks after class ends.

There is a $35 cancellation fee. No refunds for cancellations received less than two weeks before the day of the workshop.
